Coastal Victorian Charm in Mendocino
Mendocino provides a taste of New England style on the California coastline.
During the summer months in Northern California, wildflowers bloom endlessly. Mendocino was no exception, the town is full of wildflowers and every house has a well kept garden.
The town is full of Victorian homes turned into Bed & Breakfasts. Above is the Didjeridoo Dreamtime Inn where I stayed for the night. I especially loved the gardens on the property and the breakfast, which was homemade, healthy and delicious!
After a night of rest at the Didjeridoo, my morning began with a 2 mile run around the town and coastline. The views did not disappoint.
Following the run, I explored the coastline some more.
There were some beautiful rock formations like the one pictured above.
Although Mendocino is only a few hours drive from busy San Francisco, it is quaint and quiet with loads of history: the perfect city escape on a weekend or stop along on a California road trip!
